“Don’t know what tops this”; Kevin Owens feels nothing will be better after Wrestlemania 38
Kevin Owens
Kevin Owens has had several memorable and notable moments in the WWE that include winning the Universal Championship, and before that in his main roster debut, he won against John Cena. Not only that, he attacked the Chairman of WWE, Vince McMahon, headbutting him in a segment on Smackdown in the year 2017.
But according to the former Universal champion nothing in his career can top his match against ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin. Stone Cold returned to in-ring action in a No Holds Barred match at Wrestlemania 38 after a gap of 19 years. Kevins lost the match after receiving a stunner from the ‘Texas Rattle Snake’. Kevin recently appeared on After the Bell podcast with Corey graves and thinks that nothing will top his match against the Rattle Snake:
“I don’t know what tops this, what could top it? You tell me if you can figure one out. Yesterday I was having this reflection and I’m like, ‘Man, it keeps getting crazier.’ I don’t know, man. You asked how I felt then [after the match]. It’s the same, I feel now. I was in disbelief and I’m really just so grateful.”
A talk show segment led to Steve Austin and Kevin Owens facing off during the WrestleMania Saturday segment after Owens provoked ‘The Texas Rattlesnake’. In an intense battle through the crowd, Austin and Owens returned to the ring and Austin won the match after pining Owens.
Kevin Owens believes he will have trouble creating a greater moment in WWE
After living a great moment of his wrestling career by wrestling a match against Steve Austin, Owens on the podcast described how he feels weeks after his match against and what his future holds:
“It’s all downhill from here, really,” said Owens. “I say that with the most optimistic point of view I can have, and I mean that in a good way. It was really unbelievable. It’s still unbelievable. Sometimes I’ll have my moments where I’m not doing anything, I’m just sitting around, and I’ll pull it up on my phone and I’ll specifically watch the moment where the ref rings the bell.”
