Hollywood is gearing up for the release of the highly anticipated sports drama, “The Iron Claw.” It is a sports biographical movie detailing the historic yet tragic lives of retired professional wrestler Kevin Von Erich and the Von Erich family. In a recent interview, the WWE Hall of Famer expressed his concerns about his upcoming biopic.
While speaking to the Busted Open during the world premiere of The Iron Claw, Kevin Von Erich shed light on his misgivings about the film, which bothered the wrestling veteran. The 66-year-old expressed concern over the misleading portrayal of the film characters, particularly his father. He also hoped that fans would try to understand the complexity of the family, considering the period they were raised in.

Furthermore, the WWE legend added that director Sean Durkin took the edge off his apprehension. He said that the director assured him that the story that the world will see is not based on hearsay and rumors. All the incidents depicted in the film are purely fact-based and sourced from what Kevin Von Erich himself stated or wrote.
I talked to the director, I loved my dad and my brothers loved my dad too, so I was kind of worried about it. I know when you look on YouTube and see some of the things wrestlers are saying that are not accurate, I was thinking where are they getting all this information from?Kevin Von Erich on Busted Open
Moreover, The Iron Claw is aiming for a Christmas release on December 22. The film has been receiving rave reviews from fans and critics since the release of its trailer. Zac Efron, best known for his role in High School Musical, plays Kevin Von Erich in the film.
