The ending of this week’s WWE Friday Night SmackDown paved the way for Randy Orton‘s future. The Apex Predator signing for the blue brand shifts his focus to the unfinished business with The Bloodline. He RKOed Jimmy Uso to send a message to everyone and prove his threat to the heel faction again. However, Uso stayed dramatic throughout the process and sold RKO incredibly well even after the show ended.

After SmackDown ended, the crew prepared the ring for a dark match between Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura. They removed the black mat used for Orton’s signing segment, but Jimmy Uso remained lying on the mat. Despite attempts to move him, he stayed put until they eventually rolled him out of the ring and held him off until the replacement of the mat.

Jimmy was immobile ever since the RKO and was rolled out by the referee. A WWE official then stood around the ring and caught him off the apron until the mat was taken off. Jimmy, kept on the apron, later stood on his feet when Seth’s theme song hit to clear the ring.

Jimmy Uso is likely to encounter more such threatening RKOs as The Viper looks for a feud with The Bloodline. Randy is most likely to challenge Roman Reigns for his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble 2024. Till then, his weekly appearances will most likely see him take down Solo Sikoa and Uso in the process.

The dramatic end to this week’s SmackDown confirmed Randy Orton’s future on that show. The Viper snubbed Raw to align himself with the blue brand for his unfinished business with The Bloodline. While doing so, Orton cut a promo saying, “Daddy’s back,” and targeted Roman Reigns in the process.
