Goldberg is considered one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. The WWE Hall of Famer had a history with Brock Lesnar. The Beast Incarnate was one of his toughest opponents during his early days.

While speaking on Inside the Ropes, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle revealed some interesting things about Brock Lesnar. Angle stated that Lesnar’s stupidity once handed him a loss to Goldberg at Wrestlemania 20. The Olympic gold medalist recounted an incident where The Beast Incarnate wanted to quit WWE to join the NFL.

Kurt Angle suggested Lesnar convey his intentions to Vince McMahon only after WrestleMania, as that would be a better idea. However, the former Universal Champion didn’t listen to him and ended up saying that to Mr McMahon. Angle believes that Lesnar’s stupid decision was one of the reasons why he lost to Goldberg that time.

Moreover, the WWE Hall of Famer said that the outcome of Wrestlemania 20 could have been different if Brock had listened to him. Nevertheless, Lesner returned to WWE in 2012 and has been one of the most dominant wrestlers in the company. Later, Goldberg also made his comeback in 2017. The two faced off in an epic rivalry at Survivor Series.

Their match at Wrestlemania 20 had one of the best storylines ever told in WWE history. With Stone Cold Steve Austin as the guest referee, the match was an instant classic. Whatever the ending was or could have been, both wrestlers gave their best. Goldberg and Lesnar cemented their legacies in this industry.

The American Nightmare passed out after Lesnar caught him up in a kimura lock. However, on the recent episode of Raw, Cody Rhodes came out and called out Lesnar again.

He challenged the Beast Incarnate to another rematch. The WWE Universe has been loving the storyline between Lesnar and Rhodes. As a result, WWE wanted to continue with it. There are chances that fans can witness another epic battle between both superstars at Money in the Bank.

Brock Lesnar has yet to accept Cody’s challenge. Moreover, there have been rumors that the two of them can wrestle at SummerSlam this year. Thus, it will be interesting to see when the two superstars once again clash in the ring.
