After going back and forth between a lot of buyers, WWE was recently purchased by UFC’s parent company, Endeavor. The merging of two companies brought forth the question- Will UFC fighters compete in WWE?
UFC fighters like Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey made their debut in WWE after a successful run in the MMA industry. They have since then, emerged as top stars of the company, dominating everyone in their way. But now that UFC and WWE are going to be under the same company, fans are speculating whether any other UFC fighters are going to jump over to WWE.
WWE Legend Kurt Angle shared his thoughts on whether the UFC fighters would be allowed in WWE. Kurt Angle said that in order to jump ship, the MMA stars would have to retire from the Octagon first. On The Kurt Angle Show, The Gold Medalist said the following:
“I know Dana White is very hellbent on not allowing his fighters to go into pro wrestling..But I do believe that the fighters who are going to retire are going to [move] over to pro wrestling [in] WWE... believe when they’re done fighting they’re going to go to pro wrestling just like Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar did.”
Endeavor merged with WWE to form a single large public trading company worth a whopping $21 billion. This was a huge deal for fans of professional wrestling, who were worried that this deal would change WWE as a whole. However, WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Triple H came out and assured the fans that the WWE that they love isn’t going anywhere. Fans would have to wait and see if Triple H keeps good on his word and how the deal between Endeavor and WWE is going to affect the world of pro wrestling as a whole.

Why did Vince McMahon return to WWE amidst the UFC merger?

Vince McMahon retired from his position as the chairman of WWE last year. Since then, according to fans WWE has flourished under Triple H. The Game brought back a lot of released talent and raised the quality of all three shows of WWE under his regime. However, Vince McMahon returned to WWE this January, despite his supposed retirement.
A lot of fans on social media expressed their disapproval of McMahon’s return to power. Vince assured me that he would not meddle with the creative aspects of the company. However, Vince McMahon made some direct last-minute changes to Monday Night RAW after WrestleMania. As for the question, of why is Vince McMahon back in WWE, the answer is simple- Ari Emanuel.
The Endeavor CEO revealed that he personally persuaded the WWE boss to return to the company during the merger. The move was done to improve the sales of the company. From a business perspective, this might be a smart move for the Endeavor CEO to keep around the man who built the empire.
