“He always keeps in touch”- Kurt Angle says that he is still in touch with the Former European Champion

Kurt Angle is one of the greatest wrestlers ever to grace the squared circle. The Former WWE Champion was a major WWE Superstar during his time in the WWE, and he was a key player in the Attitude Era as well as the Ruthless Aggression Era.

The Olympic Gold Medalist has been a part of numerous phenomenal matches in the WWE and has had some intense rivalries during his time in the company, most notably with Brock Lesnar, Shawn Michaels, and Chris Benoit. Kurt Angle has faced nearly every best in the business during his career.

Angle has also been involved in the storylines involving the McMahons, Stephanie, Vince, and Shane. One of the best matches of his career came against Shane McMahon at the 2001 King of the Ring Pay Per View. In 2001, Kurt Angle was involved in a rivalry with Shane McMahon and it set a stage for them at the King of the Ring in a street fight match.

There was a lot of savagery there, with Angle suplexing Shane McMahon through a glass door being one of the most well-known scenes. The match is regarded as one of the best street fights in the history of WWE. Kurt Angle has been good friends with Shane McMahon, and their friendship was highlighted in a WWE documentary.

During a recent Ask Kurt Anything Q&A session, The Olympic Gold Medalist recently claimed that he recently spoke with Shane on the phone and that Shane enjoys staying in contact with his closest friends and constantly reaches out.

“I did talk to him, He reached out to me and asked me how I was doing. Shane, out of the blue, he always keeps in touch with his closest friends. Undertaker, me, Stone Cold, and even Dwayne Johnson when he can, but Shane always reaches out.”

Kurt Angle asserts that Shane McMahon was a great athlete

In the same Q & A session, Kurt Angle stated that Shane McMahon was a very good wrestler, even though he wrestled in a few matches in his career. Angle stated that Shane was a great athlete and praised him for delivering dangerous stunts, such as the fall off the ledge from thirty feet above, which seemed as if he was falling for 10 seconds.

In an interview with Bubba the Love Sponge on “The Bubba Army,” Kurt Angle disclosed details on his current WWE contract. He said that he is currently on a nostalgia contract where the company pays him for his appearance, and he also has a deal regarding his merchandise with the WWE.
