Chris Jericho provided numerous awe-inspiring moments to Vince McMahon's company

Chris Jericho just defines pure class and untanned legacy in professional wrestling. For decades, the Canadian wrestler has been acing each hurdle that comes his way. Jericho had one of the greatest WWE careers of all-time, before switching to All Elite Wrestling in 2019. He was one of the first names to join the Tony Khan led-promotion.

Just as everyone was amazed after Y2J debuted for AEW, this move was expected. At the dusk of his WWE tenure, The Codebreaker was working under an after-thought banner. Most of the time, he was seen passing the torch to others. And the pressure cooker finally exploded after WrestleMania 33, at which he faced Kevin Owens for the US Title, after opener.

This was exactly the moment where Jericho realized that he’s way beyond his peak in WWE, and decided to quit. Despite of this decision, many thought that Mr. Canada is a WWE-lifer and won’t ever leave the promotion. Adding to that list of surprised names, Kurt Angle recently confessed the same. Speaking on his The Kurt Angle Show podcast, former World Heavyweight Champion revealed that he never thought Chris Jericho will bid adieu to WWE.

“I thought Chris Jericho was gonna be a WWE life. I never thought he’d ever leave. He left before and I think he went to Japan, but never really signed with another company, at least not since he was in WCW. He was in WWE for the longest time and I never thought he’d leave and go to another company.”

Without a hitch of doubt, Chris Jericho adapted to a newer promotion, instantly. Having an inaccessible experience of over three decades under his belt, The Lionheart added massive brand value for AEW. Having such a living legend on-board, the Jacksonville based promotion attracted massive eyeballs on their product.

In fact, Jericho became the first-ever AEW World Champion. In an absolute flawless reign, the C Man surpassed all expectations from a slightly aged soul of himself. However, shutting the mouth of his critics, Chris Jericho transformed his well-built frame into the best physical shape of his career, even after passing his prime years.
