“So, he allowed me”- Kurt Angle shares details on the conversation he had with Vince McMahon in regards to one of his banned moves

Kurt Angle has been one of the most important figures in WWE history. Angle has also been regarded as one of the best technical wrestlers of all time. Angle has been a 5-time world Champion, 1-time European Champion, 1-time Hardcore Champion and 1-time European Champion during his time in WWE. In addition to this Angle has been the winner of the King of the Ring tournament and 5th Grand Slam Champion. He was included in the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2017.
Kurt Angle talks about the time he almost broke his neck
The WWE has banned some of the wrestling moves in the past to avoid injuries and concussions. Some injuries can be life threatening and some can be responsible for driving a wrestler to become a drug addict, get addicted to pain killers and alcohol. Many Wrestlers were forced to retire from wrestling due to the injuries they suffered in their wrestling career.
On the latest edition of “The Kurt Angle Show”, Kurt Angle shared details of the conversation he had with Vince McMahon regarding his Wrestling Moves.
Kurt said that Vince had allowed him to use suplex, which was thought to be an illegal wrestling move as it caused neck injuries. Vince told angle that his primary skill are suplexes and that he wanted Kurt to keep them as he knew Kurt was safe with them. Angle said that Vince knew that he was safe and he never landed anybody on their head.
“Well, not for me in particular, because Vince McMahon pulled me aside and told me, ‘Listen, I know that 90% of your repertoire is suplexes, and I want you to keep them because I know you’re safe with them,” said Kurt Angle. “You never land anybody on their head, and I trust you that you will continue to do a good job.’ So, he allowed me to continue to do my belly-to-belly suplex and my German suplexes.”
In the same episode, Kurt also revealed that during one of his bouts in a steel cage with Chris Benoit on 2001 RAW is WAR edition, Chris Benoit delivered a suplex to angle from the top rope, and angle landed right on his head. Kurt said that he was lucky he didn’t break his neck or had a concussion. He was surprised of surviving that fall without any injuries.
