Kurt Angle has been making sporadic appearances in the WWE since his release in 2020. Angle’s most recent appearance was on the December 9th edition of SmackDown. He celebrated his 54th birthday with the superstars at SmackDown.

Fans witnessed the former WWE champion imitate his own segment from 2001 by showering milk over the Otis and Chad Gable of the Alpha Academy. Gavle Steveson happened to be his partner in crime in this act. At WrestleMania 35, the WWE Hall of Famer faced Baron Corbin in what would be his final wrestling contest as of now.

The Olympic Gold Medalist wanted to fight John Cena in his final match, but was told to wait a year for that. He has regretted his decision not to wait for a year. Kurt Angle, John Cena’s first opponent, thought it would be fantastic if Cena ended his career. However, Kurt Angle has said that he would never wrestle again due to the fear of doing more damage to his body.

During a recent interview with Bill Apter of SK Wrestling, Angle spoke about Cena’s debut. He said that Cena earned the respect of the WWE Universe in his first match because he put up a great fight. Angle praised Cena for matching his level in the bout.

“Yeah, his first match against me, his first match ever, I defeated him. But he got over from it because he put up a great fight……Because I’ve always had the best conditioning in pro wrestling. And John Cena was able to match me, which was incredibly surprising.”

Triple H has been doing a great job managing the company after Vince McMahon’s retirement. The game has brought many talents back to the company and made some changes to the current product. Many WWE Superstars have expressed happiness working under Triple H.

During a recent edition of the Kurt Angle Podcast, the Former WWE Champion stated that Triple H is one of the finest minds in the industry. Angle praised the game for not only being a great wrestler but also having a great creative mind in the business.

“For me personally, Triple H. He’s always had it……Triple H is one guy that is well-educated, he loves pro wrestling like it’s his wife [laughs]. He cherishes it, and he’s really good at it. He has a great mind for it.”

Triple H was also the man behind the December 9th edition of SmackDown. Kurt Angle has been a favorite of Triple H and does everything possible for him. The two have been good friends in real life. It’s always a treat for fans to see the Olympic Gold Medalist back in the WWE.
