LA Knight's alleged backstage mannerisms could lose him chances of being pushed as one of the top guys of the company.

The LA Knight situation keeps getting smokier day-by-day. This week on SmackDown, he failed to advance in the US Title Invitational Tourney. That upset millions of his fans around the globe. However, PW Torch reported that Knight’s meteoric rise of late has caught the attention of Vince McMahon. The former WWE Chairman is impressed with his rising popularity.
Meanwhile, Triple H already had a liking towards the Megastar since his NXT days. Also, the 40-year-old is currently slated to receive a significant push after SummerSlam. However, the report also mentioned how Knight is “poor at backstage politics.” More precisely, he has a bad habit of rubbing people the wrong way.
PW Torch noted how WWE management and some of his colleagues are concerned that his upcoming push might be curtailed due to this. Notably, this is first time a story of this extent has surfaced concerning Knight. His booking continues to remain abysmal and doesn’t improve over time, it would only be due to his backstage image, the report added.
At the moment, both Vince McMahon & Triple H seem high on the former Eli Drake. And everyone knows, if someone gets along well with Mr. McMahon, he/she is likely to excel. The creative lead and WWE CCO Triple H reportedly has big plans for LA Knight. Well, the Game’s words can be taken seriously and fans should remain optimistic. But, it’s always better to strike the iron while it’s hot.
What’s next for LA Knight on SmackDown?
After coming up short on SmackDown, LA Knight would need to figure out his next step. With SummerSlam right around the corner, he still doesn’t have anything to do at The Biggest Party of the Summer. Most likely, he isn’t going to wrestle at the namesake event. However, WWE can at least have him on the show in some capacity.
Just the mere sight of Knight at the Ford Field would do wonders. Fans literally lose their minds when the self-proclaimed Megastar makes his entrance. If the officials are smart enough, they’d definitely consider him to at least grab the mic and cut a classic promo. Or else, he could be a guest on The Grayson Waller Effect, as the Aussie Icon too doesn’t have anything to do at the moment.
That option might actually intrigue everyone. It will help the company to card both of their blue brand assets to have a massive showing in front of nearly 50,000 fans. In the end, it’s up to the management as to how they want to utilize their hottest commodity. Putting LA Knight on the card would skyrocket his merchandise sales even more.
