One such memorable moment was when Cenation Leader, John Cena endorsed the Megastar at Payback 2023. However, Knight received backlash backstage for not raising Cena’s hand.

During a conversation on the Gorrila Position, Knight stated that it was the right thing, according to himself, he could have done. The Megastar added that he trusted his instincts in the process and himself in what he was doing.

Although the 41-year-old agreed that he was getting rugged with the 16-time World Champion. Moreover, Knight revealed that many people backstage put a finger on him, saying that it was not appropriate behavior with John Cena.

I kind of acquiesced and he raises the hand. I get to the back and somebody says, ‘You can’t do that to John. That’s John Cena. You can’t just shake his hand, you raise his hand.’ I was like, ‘Thank you, I see your advice, I see why you would say that, but I have to trust myself in this process and trust who I am and what I’m doing.’ When I talked to John, he was like, ‘You did the right thing. You did the right thing by you.

Moreover, Knight divulged that even the Cenation Leader affirmed his actions. The Megastar wants to convey the point that his actions were justified on his end. However, for the people backstage, it was a matter of concern. The character of the 41-year-old superstar is driven by the desire to have a unique identity.

Furthermore, LA Knight climbed the ladder of success thereafter. He went on to have a successful program with Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel. Now, the Megastar is in a heated feud with AJ Styles. The two stars are on a collision course for WrestleMania. It is going to be interesting to see how things will go for LA Knight from here on out.

John Cena appreciates LA Knight

John Cena and LA Knight were involved in a feud with the Bloodline in the fall of 2023. The two stars went toe to toe with Roman Reigns‘ faction. Both Cena and Knight worked together and formed a solid team. In an interview, the Cenation Leader praised the Megastar.

In the interview with Chris Van Vliet, the 16-time world champion stated that the 41-year-old superstar is gifted with his talent. Cena elucidated his statement by saying the Megastar has worked hard to gain the success he has right now in his career. Therefore, he deserves to be the top star in the company.

There is a situation where, I want to say, he’s gifted. That’s not the right thing to say. What I should say is, ‘Man, he has worked to get his talent.’ He is the embodiment of perseverance and hard work and believing in himself. He has earned every inch. It was really really fun to be in there with him.

The two stars had quite a partnership at Fastlane, where they defeated Bloodline in a marquee match. Besides, the 48-year-old star is rumored to appear at WrestleMania as well.
