“You have taken over Shawn”; Chris Jericho approved by Hall of famer

Chris Jericho is 51 years old and most wrestlers retire before that.
Everyone knows that Chris Jericho is one of the best wrestlers of this generation. The 3-time WWE champion has achieved everything that there is to achieve not only in the WWE but also in other promotions as well. Jericho’s feud with Shawn was rated as the best feud of the year in 2008 and was declared the wrestler of the year in 2008, 2009 and 2019. Even Jericho’s ladder match against Shawn Michaels at No Mercy was given the pro-wrestling match of the year award in 2008.
Chris Jericho is 51 years old and most wrestlers retire before that. But that didn’t stop him from winning a championship, when he was the inaugural champion of AEW at 48 years old and not only that, prior to winning his AEW championship he won the IWGP intercontinental championship at the of 47. Chris has never stopped giving good matches and has never stopped entertaining the crowd with his gimmicks. Whether a funny heel or a babyface he has engaged the crowd every time he stepped into the ring
WWE Hall of famer, Kurt Angle approved this fact and said that in a recent interview with Lucha Libre Online:

“What he’s been able to do with his characters, changing and innovating himself and being able to be as effective as he is in the business this late in his career, at 51, 52 years of age, and being in the business for over 30 years”.
He goes on adding: “He’s put in a lot of time, a lot of effort, and he’s very talented. So, I put him up there with Shawn Michaels, but now, after being in AEW and doing the things he’s doing now, he has to be the greatest of all time, especially (for) the amount of years he put in.”
Kurt Angle says that Chris Jericho’s dominance has surpassed Shawn Michaels

While Kurt Angle is a legendary wrestler himself, he was all praises for Chris Jericho over Jericho’s career life and his continuous innovations with his characters. Chris is still fighting it out in the WWE and is in the best shape of his recent career years. Speaking on the Kurt Angle Show, Kurt says:
“Chris, I want to tell you this. I’ve always thought Shawn Michaels was the greatest of all time. And I’m not saying this to blow smoke up your a*s, but what you’ve been able to accomplish in AEW, and how long you’ve been able to have this career, I think that you have taken over Shawn as the greatest of all time.”
