Ric Flair is a legend and an icon of the wrestling industry. He gave a surprise to the fans when he showed up at AEW Dynamite and reunited with his legendary friend and rival, Sting. Fans speculated whether Ric Flair would assist Sting in his final days or if there would be one last match between the two legends.
Sting has always cited Ric Flair as his idol, learning from him during their encounters in WCW. Flair, showing respect for his friend, expressed a desire to join Sting on his journey as the icon nears retirement.

When Ric Flair requested his release from WWE, it was granted. Many fans instantly speculated that the Nature Boy might join the rival company AEW. There were speculations that Flair and Tony Khan had a verbal agreement to join AEW In 2021.
But it all went downhill after one episode named “plane ride from hell” of the show called “Dark Side of the Ring” revealed the dark secrets of the legend, which ultimately led him into a lot of trouble. But with time, he finally made his long-awaited surprising return to AEW after 2 years.
