CM Punk, Bad Bunny and Saraya
The wrestling industry is at the peak of its popularity right now. From breaking official gates to attendance records, business has definitely been booming for the past year. As a result, wrestlers are getting more recognition from audiences as well. According to a survey, Wrestlenomics released a list of the top 10 most searched wrestlers in the last year.
The list was based on superstars who had wrestled at least once from August 2022 to July 2023. This statistic led to famous artist Bad Bunny topping the list even though he had only one match. He squared off against Damian Priest at the Backlash Premium Live Event in Puerto Rico. However, the list includes some of the most prominent names.
John Cena and Roman Reigns hold the second and third positions, respectively, for being the most searched wrestlers. It should come as no surprise given that the pair are arguably two of the biggest stars of the modern era. The rest of the list includes popular names in the WWE, such as Logan Paul, Brock Lesnar, Rey Mysterio, and Cody Rhodes.
The last two names on the list are current AEW superstars, CM Punk and Saraya. Both superstars are well known for their stints in the Jacksonville-based promotion. The Chicago-born star was one of the longest-reigning World Champions, while the other played an essential role during the Women’s Revolution by the name of Paige.
CM Punk might face Samoa Joe at All In

AEW All In is nearing the record for the highest attendance for a professional wrestling event. It will take place at the famous Wembley Stadium in London. One of the major superstars of the promotion, CM Punk, does not have a match scheduled as of yet.
However, a worthy opponent in the form of Samoa Joe recently challenged the Second City Saint. Both wrestlers have a long history, as they wouldn’t have risen to stardom without each other. During their stints at Ring Of Honor (ROH), they collided on multiple occasions, producing stellar matches.
Interestingly, Punk had never beaten Joe in his career until a recent episode of AEW Collision. The self-proclaimed “Best In The World” has yet to answer the challenge, but he will likely accept it. Without a doubt, the two veterans will deliver in front of the rapid-fire 80,000 fans at the spectacular event.
