“I’m so sad. Please stop”: Liv Morgan addresses online scams that use her name

WWE Superstar Liv Morgan is a superstar that is known for their physical acumen and prowess inside the ring. She has been able to prove her mettle by showcasing incredible microphone skills which when paired with her beautiful facial features becomes a force to be reckoned with. 

She is one of those superstars who have made a successful comeback to NXT from the main roster and have performed even well after returning. Soon after making it back to the NXT, she was able to grab the NXT women’s title and ever since then she has had an extremely Dominant Title Run.

What upset Liv Morgan recently?

WWE Superstar Liv Morgan recently tweeted about an incident that was brought to her attention that deeply disturbed her. She took to Twitter and reminded fans about some fake accounts that are scamming people by pretending to be wrestlers on social media sites.

Recently, a similar thing has happened, Morgan explained through her tweets that a man sold his house and lost everything because that man thought that he was helping Liv Morgan.

This is the transcript of Meg’s tweets: “Guys I’ve been sent so many emails of horror stories about people making fake accounts and emails pretending to be me & asking for huge amounts of money. This really makes me so sad. Please don’t use my name to con people out of their hard earned money. Please please please”

“A man sold his home and lost everything thinking he was helping ‘me’. This has me so sick. Please know I would never reach out to ask any of you for a single penny. I’m so sad. Please stop”

The lesson could be learnt by everyone, be it a fan or an athlete, we must try to be wary of online sites as incidents of people fishing and duping others have risen significantly. Tech Experts advise to always look for the verified checkmark and if somebody unknown to you is trying to solicit money, it’s best to not engage with them and block them.

Incidents such as these are deeply disturbing even to the athletes ad superstars over whose names people try to solicit money, therefore it is incumbent upon us to try to be more careful with our usage of the online platforms as monetary losses such as these could have an adverse mental effect on people.
