Liv Morgan has been all pumped up for her match against Ronda Rousey at SummerSlam. Morgan is one of the five wrestlers to win the MITB Ladder Match and cash in the contract on the same night to win the WWE Championship. Liv Morgan has been a fan of pro wrestling since she was young and regards WWE Hall of Famer Lita as her wrestling idol. When Morgan competed against Becky Lynch for the RAW Women’s Championship in December 2021, she showed the WWE Universe that she had the ability to become a WWE Champion.
Liv Morgan was signed to WWE in 2014 and was assigned to the developmental territory NXT in 2014. She initially competed under the ring name Marley and worked as a Jobber in the company. Liv made her debut under her current ring name in December 2015 and participated in the Battle Royal to determine the no. 1 contender for the NXT Women’s Championship. Liv Morgan had competed in the Elimination Chamber this year and managed to eliminate Doudrop but was eliminated by Alexa Bliss.

Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott competed in a Tag Team Turmoil match at WrestleMania 37
At WrestleMania 37, a Tag Team Turmoil match was held, and the winners of the match would face Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. The match began with Lana and Naomi’s side and Billie Kay and Carmella’s team began the match. Lana and Naomi were defeated by Billie and Carmella. The Riott Squad involving Morgan and Ruby were the next to arrive.
Morgan and Riott managed to eliminate Carmella and Billie. The Riott Squad faced Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke next and Liv Morgan performed the inside cradle to pin Dana and win the match. Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott were close to victory as they were about to face the last team of Tamina and Natalya but at the end Tamina performed a Superfly Splash on Ruby to win the match and seal their spot of competing against Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax.
Both Natalya and Tamina were defeated by Shayna and Nia Jax on Night 2 of WrestleMania 37. Recently while speaking with Riju Dasgupta of Sportskeeda, Liv Morgan talked about her dream partner if she competes for the vacant Tag Team Women’s Championship.
Liv Morgan claimed that she has had horrible luck with tag team partners, citing her defeats at WrestleMania 37 and 38 with partners like Ruby Riot and Rhea Ripley. She said that she would have loved to be it Rhea Ripley and had also enjoyed the association with Alexa Bliss but she wants it now to be Bianca Belair and that as they both are Champions now, they would be an Unstoppable force.
“That’s a hard question for me, I’ve had such bad luck! I’ve had such bad luck with tag team partners. I mean, I would have loved for it to have been Rhea. I had a very fun time tagging with Alexa. It would be really fun to team with Bianca. She’s RAW Women’s Champion, I’m SmackDown Women’s Champion. What an unstoppable tag team we would be. Maybe Bianca, maybe she’s my pick.”
Liv Morgan’s Championship is on the line against Ronda Rousey at SummerSlam on this Saturday at Nissan Stadium, Nashville, Tennessee.
