Everyone’s hoping to have CM Punk back as soon as possible. He tore his tricep while having an abrupt landing, courtesy of Drew McIntyre‘s future shock DDT at the Royal Rumble. A couple of days later, on Raw, Punk confirmed that he’d miss WrestleMania 40 and would need to rehab post-surgery. Recently, Living Colour, the rock band that produced Punk’s battle hymn, The Cult of Personality, wished him a speedy recovery.
The lead vocalist, Corey Glover, took a moment midway through one of their live concerts. The band even went on to do a rendition of Punk’s theme song. Everyone knows that The Best in the World won’t be back tomorrow. He’s slated to undergo surgery that would require 4-6 months of rehabilitation. This week on Raw, Punk was in tears while addressing the crowd in Tampa. However, he compared his situation to that of one of his close friends, who’s battling cancer.

The 45-year-old called people like his friend the real best in the world. Moreover, Punk termed his torn tricep just a bump in the road. He was cut short by Drew McIntyre, who said that he prayed for Punk to get injured. The Straight Edge Superstar promised that he’d come back stronger, and McIntyre would be the one he’d first go after.
A day later, The Scottish Warrior implicitly trolled CM Punk. Drew posted a video of himself enjoying his triceps day at the gym. He even asked the viewers to never skip one. Fans caught McIntyre’s real intentions and called him out for his menacing behavior.
What changes will WWE make to WrestleMania 40 after CM Punk’s injury?
A lot has changed in WWE’s view of WrestleMania 40 since the Royal Rumble. Initially, CM Punk was penciled in to face Seth Rollins at The Showcase of the Immortals. But with Punk’s injury and Rollins’ knee sprain, it’s off the cards now.

The company is forced to alter the original plans and incorporate something new. The belief among those in WWE is that Seth Rollins will be fine to compete by the time WrestleMania is around the corner. And with CM Punk out of the picture, Seth will need someone else.
The current scenario suggests that Drew McIntyre could be involved in the world title picture. He may be joined by Sami Zayn to make it a three-day situation in Philadelphia. However, it’s too early to tell. Things are in redevelopment and would need a week or two.
