The current WWE United States Champion, Logan Paul won the title against Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel. Since then, wherever he goes, he has kept the title close to him and stayed in the spotlight. Now, the rivalry between him and the number one contender, Kevin Owens, has truly heated up before the Royal Rumble PLE.
The animosity between them was visible as they engaged in a physical altercation at the WWE Performance Center. Both superstars are known for their carefree and rebellious attitude, as the staff had to break them up during their fight.
At a moment, it looked like Owens had gained control of his emotions and walked back, but Logan escalated the situation by throwing a bottle of prime at him while mocking him. The Prizefighter did not take this lightly and went straight into the ring to attack him. However, the pair was held down by the people present there.
The 39-year-old star became the No. 1 contender by winning the 8-man knockout tournament held on SmackDown. He beat stars like Austin Theory, Carmelo Hayes, and Santos Escobar and earned the opportunity to face Logan.
They confronted each other on the New Year’s Revolution episode, with Owens punching Logan hard in the face, leaving him black-eyed. It will be interesting to see whether, after all this talk, The Maverick retains his title or a new champion will be crowned this Saturday at Royal Rumble.
Logan Paul provokes Kevin Owens after their physical altercation at the Performance Center
Logan Paul’s ‘loud-mouth’ attitude has always landed him in trouble, but still, he continues to get on the nerves of his opponents. This time, it’s Kevin Owens, who is the No. 1 contender for Logan’s United States Championship.
The 28-year-old took to X and mocked Owens by asking about him running into the ring and attacking him. Although he has a big ego problem and the fans have always trolled him about it, there is no denying that he has proven himself in the ring. As such, he has earned respect from the wrestling community.
Logan has been a champion for two months, but this will be his first time defending a title. He will look forward to retaining the title and going to WrestleMania as the U.S. Champion by hook or crook. Kevin Owens is already a 3-time U.S. champion and will look to add a fourth one in his illustrious career.
