This year’s men’s Money in the Bank ladder match was an absolute car-crash. One of the most talked about moments came when Logan Paul and Ricochet almost botched a Spanish Fly off the ring ropes. They crashed through a couple of tables on the outside, one of which was not broken. Paul landed face first, causing the maximum damage to him.
Due to that ridiculous spot, The Maverick even shed some blood. He shared a gruesome picture of his battle wounds on Twitter, leaving the WWE Universe astounded. The right side of his upper body is completely covered in scars. However, the YouTube sensation seemed to enjoy what he got by writing, “I like this sport”, tagging WWE.
Well, as far as how the London crowd received The Maverick, it was ugly. It was twice as hostile an environment as one would’ve initially thought. There were several F-bombs directed at KSI’s business partner. Every time he tried to climb that ladder, the crowd booed him. One could only imagine the scenes if he had actually won the match.
Despite various speculations, Logan Paul did not clinch the Money in the Bank contract. Nevertheless, the YouTube sensation played his part perfectly. It has been quite the past couple of days for him in London. People around there have a significant amount of disdain for Paul and that was palpable.
Is Logan Paul going to wrestle at SummerSlam?
The Maverick is signed to WWE under a special contract. As a celebrity, he doesn’t need to show up every week. He’s entitled to have 4-5 matches a year, and that’s it. So being said, he has already competed in three matches this year. But one would imagine that he’s definitely going to compete at SummerSlam too.
Boozer 666, a private WWE insider on Twitter, provided a scoop. According to it, WWE is pushing for Logan Paul to feud with LA Knight, who, despite being a fan favorite, lost at Money in the Bank. Both Paul and Knight already had a couple of promo battles during the build-up to Money in the Bank.
On both occasions, the self-proclaimed Megastar outshined Logan Paul. It’s clear that if WWE wants to keep LA Knight movement going, they have to put Knight in a higher spot. Fans are totally behind the former Eli Drake at this point and the executives would be out of their minds if they let this hype cool down. Knight vs. Paul actually seems like an exciting program for The Biggest Party of the Summer.
