“What else can they do?”- Dutch Mantel slams WWE creative in regards to Drew McIntyre’s current Storyline

Drew McIntyre is one of the most dominant personalities in WWE. Drew has toughness level to that of Harley Race. McIntyre is a great performer and carried the company through its initial period of pandemic. He began training as a wrestler from the age 15 at Frontier Wrestling Alliance’s Academy and was trained by wrestlers such as Doug Williams, Paul Burchill and Alex Shane. McIntyre wrestled at the independent circuit during the initial phase of his career and got signed with WWE in 2007 but was a part of WWE for a short period of time before moving to the developmental territory FCW.
Drew McIntyre wrestled on FCW until 2009 and re debuted on SmackDown Brand with a heel persona. He wrestled in WWE until 2014 and then wrestled on multiple promotions such as Evolve, TNA and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla before returning to WWE in 2017. McIntyre has been a 1-time Impact Grand Champion and 1-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion during his time at TNA. Since McIntyre’s return to WWE in 2017, He has been a 1 time NXT Champion and 2-time WWE Champion. McIntyre also won the Royal Rumble 2020, thereby beginning his Championship pursuits after that.
Drew McIntyre failed to win the Money in the Bank Ladder match

On June 10th edition of SmackDown, Both Drew McIntyre and Sheamus failed to qualify for the MITB Ladder match after attacking one another with steel chairs. The next week, WWE representative Adam Pearce declared that both will both participate in the contest. At the event Butch rushed outside and started striking Drew as he was climbing the ladder. Drew then pushed the ladder that Celtic Warrior had positioned over him, knocking him to the ground. Riddle performed an RKO on Seth while he was climbing the ladder. Theory won the match by knocking Riddle to the ground and unhooking the briefcase.
This week on SmackDown McIntyre faced Ridge Holland unexpectedly faced off against McIntyre. A match between Sheamus and Drew was supposed to take place, but Sheamus was too busy chasing Butch and Butch rang the bell. After some back and forth, McIntyre used a large Claymore to end the fight.
Dutch Mantel now has something to say about Drew McIntyre’s current storyline. Dutch, while speaking with Sportskeeda’s wrestling Smack Talk said that WWE isn’t trying anything new with Drew McIntyre and said that if they are out of ideas they can bring a sledgehammer into the scene. Mantel said that he wanted to see PG-14 sort of something today on SmackDown and that he was desperate to see something new.
“Oh my God! They do it with everybody. This is like the sixth time or seventh time that they’ve had these four people together in a match. What else can they do? I mean, bring a sledgehammer in that. Hell, they’d sc**w that up too or something. He’s got a sword. I don’t know. I wanted so bad for them to do something tonight. PG-14 or something. They didn’t do anything. I don’t know.”
