Maria Kanellis spoke about her return to WWE.
Maria Kanellis was a part of the WWE Universe for a short period of time but she was able to gather the masses on her side in that duration. During her tenure in WWE, she also got involved in modelling, acting and singing. She got featured in the Playboy magazine pictorial and gained a large fan following from the same. Her on-screen relationships also made her one of the most liked female characters in the ring.
Maria Kanellis was among one of those wrestlers who was sent out of the company because of budget cuts during the Covid-19 pandemic. She joined the Ring Of Honor in late 2020 but soon the company closed down. Maria is currently showing off her skills in Impact Wrestling.
Maria Kanellis gets asked about her WWE return since Vince McMahon was now retired
Maria Kanellis and her husband Mike Bennett were released during the Covid 19 releases when Vince McMahon was the CEO of the company. With him retiring from the same, a lot of changes are bound to happen. We have already seen changes in the commentary levels in the episodes. It won’t be shocking if we get to see some new faces being brought in the show.
Stephanie McMahon and Tony Khan are handling the company now. Triple H is also responsible for the show working at an exceptional rate. When Maria was asked about her plans to return to WWE post Vince McMahon’s retirement, she said, “I always had a great working relationship with Triple H. The right opportunity is always timing meets talent.”
Maria did not actually disclose if she will enter the ring in a short notice. She believes that presently, the wrestling world is wild. SummerSlam will witness some of the greatest rivalries that are meant to be noted in the pages of history of WWE. She also feels that she will enter the ring when the time is right.
We expect to see some new faces at SummerSlam. With Sasha Banks and Naomi being out of the show for an indefinite time, the Women’s division is surely vacant. Is Maria Kanellis the person who can make a surprise entry to the 2022 SummerSlam and make it worth the watch?
