The self-proclaimed "Internet Champion" of his time, Matt Cardona, couldn't stop himself from crowing about fulfilling his dream by having his wife, Chelsea Green, with him in his bed.

Matt Cardona, formerly known by the ring name Zack Ryder, is not working with WWE anymore. Nonetheless, that hasn’t restricted the superstar from engaging the WWE Universe with his wit and humor from time to time. In a recent post on social media, the former Intercontinental Champion vaingloriously bragged about sharing the same bed with his ravishing wife, Chelsea Green.

Taking to his X handle, Matt Cardona quoted a tweet from his wife, Chelsea Green. The latter posted a goofy image of herself, proclaiming that she is the Crown Jewel of WWE following the recent PLE in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Retweeting Green’s image, the 38-year-old sarcastically wrote that he used to have WWF Divas posters pinned up on his wall in his high school days. However, now he has his gorgeous wife, Chelsea Green, beside him in bed.

The 38-year-old’s salacious caption seized the attention of the WWE Universe. Some of the fans hilariously commented that the superstar is living his boyhood dream in real-time. Green wasn’t reluctant to give a befitting comeback to her husband. She reminded the former champion that it was she who bought the bed. As a result, he is technically in her bed.

Moreover, Chelsea Green and Matt Cardona have been seeing each other since January 2017. The wrestling couple announced their engagement in 2019. Two years later, they tied the knot on New Year’s Eve 2021 in Las Vegas. While former WWE Intercontinental Champion Cardona is currently wrestling on the independent circuit, his wife, Green, is the reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion with Piper Niven.

The earlier round of talent layoffs was a result of the budget reduction in the wake of the pandemic. One of the notable names who was relieved from her contract was Chelsea Green. Recently, the Raw superstar’s husband and former WWE superstar, Matt Cardona, weighed in on Green’s current run in WWE.

Matt Cardona was a guest on the recent edition of Fightful‘s podcast, The Hump. Amidst his appearance there, the 38-year-old offered his honest thoughts about his wife’s ongoing stint with WWE. Praising Green’s current run on Raw, Cardona boldly claimed that his wife is the most successful re-hired WWE wrestler in recent times.

She is doing excellent. Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, Tag Team Champion. When she was released, she was actually wrestling on the indies. I don’t know what the prerequisite for coming back to WWE was, it felt like the prerequisite was doing nothing, but Chelsea actually worked her ass off and it shows. She’s knocking out of the park right now. I’d argue that from all of those rehires, she’s been the most successful.

Furthermore, he stated that Green began working on Impact Wrestling and other independent circuits immediately after her release. WWE CCO Triple H indeed saw Green’s unrelenting efforts and welcomed her back to the company over a simple text message. The 32-year-old made her surprise return to WWE at the Royal Rumble 2023.
