Matt Cardona Drops a Huge Hint Regarding His Return to the WWE

Matt Cardona is one of the most talented and entertaining wrestlers of the current generation. Cardona is very well known for his time in the WWE under the ring name Zack Ryder. Cardona was part of WWE for 15 years. He was let go in 2020 as part of budget cuts that resulted from COVID-19 Pandemic.
Matt Cardona was not popular when he first came into WWE, but he was part of a significant storyline in WWE as a member of Edge’s faction, La Familia. When Cardona began his singles career in WWE, he quickly established himself as a prominent star and his character of the arrogant Long Island Guido is one of WWE’s most popular gimmicks in the current generation.
Cardona frequently used the catchphrases “woo woo woo” and “you know it,” which contributed to his popularity. He had a successful WWE career and managed to solidify his place as a mid-carder. He won the Intercontinental Championship once and the United States Championship once in his career.
In 2011, when Triple H did not receive the confidence of the entire roster in an edition of RAW, Cardona made his way to console The Game and apologize to him. Matt Cardona tried to take a selfie, but was beaten up by The Game with a Pedigree. There were many boos for the cheering spot.
As rumors of Matt Cardona returning to WWE grew louder, the former WWE Superstar shared a photo on Twitter of himself and Triple H from that episode of RAW. This fueled the rumors, and Cardona could definitely return to WWE.

In a recent interview with Wrestling News, Matt Cardona talked about the rumors surrounding his return. He did not respond to the question, but stated that he is the Internet Champion and is aware that his return is being discussed. He said that he has some unfinished business in WWE, which means that he aspires to become the World Champion.
“No. (He would not answer that). I’m the Internet Champion. Of course, I see what’s being talked about. Let the people talk. I’m a former tag team champion, former Intercontinental Champion, former United States champion. I do have some unfinished business. To quote Justin Bieber, never say never.”
After being released from WWE, Matt Cardona had a short appearance in AEW and since 2021 he has been a part of Impact Wrestling. Since 2021, Cardona has also appeared at Game Changer Wrestling and the National Wrestling Alliance.
