Former WWE Superstar disappointed by Chelsea Green’s dismal performance on Raw claiming that she wasn’t ready for her match
Zack Ryder, a.k.a. Matt Cardona, doesn't seem to enjoy his wife Chelsea Green's Raw performance this week.

Despite having one of the best characters in the WWE’s women’s division, Chelsea Green has yet to leave a mark on her in-ring prowess. Ever since returning to WWE in January, she’s lost most of her matches. However, though paltry in that department, Chelsea remains a center of attraction due to her impeccable nuances. That said, she faced Tegan Nox this week on Monday Night Raw.
In yet another loss, an ever-motivated Nox outmatched Green. That forced Chelsea’s husband to intervene in the matter. After the 32-year-old took to X to express her frustration over the fact that she wasn’t ready to compete, Matt Cardona came up with a reply. The former WWE superstar reposted by saying, “That’s not what I taught you.”
Cardona’s playful social media posts, particularly on X, often hint at a potential WWE return, sparking speculation. However, while the couple’s exchanges are lighthearted, Chelsea’s WWE journey may face challenges, as maintaining credibility as a champion typically requires consistent victories.
WWE’s handling of the Women’s Tag Team Titles has been lackluster, and it’s worth noting the challenges faced by Chelsea Green. Partnered initially with the injured Sonya Deville and later Piper Niven, also sidelined, Green’s luck hasn’t been on her side. With Niven back, WWE has an opportunity to establish Green and Niven as a strong team.
Chelsea Green spoke pretty highly of her WWE return
WWE rehired Chelsea Green in late 2022, and she had to wait for a couple of months to officially appear on television. Speaking about what that meant to her on Ryan Satin’s Out of Character podcast, the 32-year-old recounted her experience.

She was a surprise entrance in this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble match. Despite getting a decent reception from the crowd in San Antonio, her night could only last 5 seconds in the ring. She was eliminated in a flash, faster than one would’ve blinked. Fans thought it was a terrible decision from WWE to give her such a miserable outing.
However, for the self-proclaimed Hot Mess, they were the 5 seconds she would never forget in her life. “I loved it. I was waiting to find out when my surprise return would be for months. So, for me the Royal Rumble, it was perfect. And just the way the entire day came together and those five seconds will live on forever” said Green.
