Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy often known as The Hardy Boyz, are one of the most popular tag teams in the wrestling world. Their time especially at WWE was crucial in building the Tag Team division for the company. One of the most talked about feuds that has to be brought whenever we talk about The Hardy Boyz is Edge and Christian.

Both the tag teams have been known to popularize ladder matches in the company and now Matt Hardy has also reflected in the fact that who should retire him and Jeff Hardy when they decide to hang up their boots. While it could be translated as one of the biggest dream matches that one would like to see, it is also important to point out that the current equation makes it quite difficult to make this match happen.

While speaking at the latest edition of his podcast Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the former tag team champion said- “I mean, I think in a perfect world, it’s Edge & Christian,” He further said that both the stars played a huge role in The Hardy Boyz’ career and their rivalry has been always described as an iconic one. And thus he feels that the duo of The Charismatic Captain and The Rated R Supertar would be the best one to retire them.

However, the equation is a little bit complex here, as Edge currently works for WWE, while Christian has been a part of Impact Wrestling. Matt Hardy is currently working for AEW while Jeff Hardy is still trying to overcome his issues with addiction. Thus, a match in near future seems impossible as of now. Therefore, Matt Hardy also talked about the other team who could retire him and Jeff from the world of wrestling.

Matt Hardy names the Young Bucks to be the Team who should retire The Hardy Boyz

If the dream match between The Hardy Boyz and Edge and Christian is not able to happen then Hardy feels that The Young Bucks comprising of Matt and Nick Jackson could be the team to retire the legendary team of The Hardy Boyz. However, The Young Bucks have also been involved in a controversy lately among the Backstage Altercation that followed after AEW ALL OUT Media Scrum.

To those who are unaware, CM Punk had blasted AEW’s EVPs in a media scrum after the promotion’s marquee event ALL OUT and then a physical altercation between Punk and the EVPs including Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks had broke out after which they had all been suspended from the TV programming. Though, the Bucks are expected to return sooner or later , a match between them and The Hardy Boyz can be on the cards.

But it has to be noted that the match could happen but not in the real future right now. Also if the match happens the odds will be favouring The Hardy Boyz by a great margin as the veteran tag team had defeated The Young Bucks Matt and Nick Jackson at AEW Double or Nothing earlier this year and thus will be the crowd’s favourite.
