“Our encounter was intense and I was not expecting it, it caught me a little off guard.” Matt Riddle recalls his interaction with Goldberg

Matt Riddle and Goldberg have often been a hot topic of conversation in the WWE Universe. The two have engaged in various controversies in and outside the ring. Based on their social media history, the two superstars can clearly be seen not sharing a good connection.

Matt Riddle has gone up to the extent of calling Goldberg “the worst wrestler in the business“. Recently Riddle revealed their conversation at the 2019 SummerSlam.

Matt Riddle and Goldberg in a cold war since 2019

When Riddle was asked one word to sum up Goldberg, he said it was “intense”. During this backstage talk at the SummerSlam event of 2019, Goldberg had clearly told Riddle that he was ” not his bro“. The enmity between the two started from there. 

Goldberg had also blocked Matt Riddle on his various social media profiles. However the former has, in a previous interview, revealed that he doesn’t like Riddle but still appreciates him. Matt has also accepted the fact he knows that Goldberg does not like him.

Goldberg had avoided talking to Riddle during the backstage moment at the SummerSlam 2019 saying that they will talk later. He further told Riddle that it was a pleasure talking to him. To which Riddle replied that it was his pleasure to talk to him and called him “bro“. Goldberg had then straight away told him that he was not his bro. 

SummerSlam is just a few days away. We are already prepared to see Riddle go face to face against Seth Rollins. Goldberg had his last match at the Elimination Chamber against Roman Reigns in which he was defeated.

With the previous interviews coming up in front of the audience again, it might indicate a possible next match between the two. The arguments have been intense and it won’t be shocking enough to see Goldberg and Riddle come face to face in the ring.
