WWE released several personalities this year. One such huge name was McKenzie Mitchell. The media personality was unexpectedly laid off by the company last month. Now, Mitchell is all set to be a part of her first professional wrestling gig after getting a pink slip from WWE.
McKenzie announced on her X that in April she is going to be a part of the WrestleCon event. Mitchell is set to appear from April 4th to April 7th at WrestleCon. It needs to be noted that it is going to be the WrestleMania weekend in WWE. Moreover, it is going to be Mitchell’s first pro wrestling gig after parting ways with the Stamford-based promotion.
Furthermore, McKenzie has been an important part of the NXT broadcast team for a long time. She has hosted pre-shows for the brand, including WWE’s YouTube show called WWE Now. Besides, the WrestleCon event is going to take place in Philadelphia, the same city where WWE is going to hold WrestleMania 40.
Only time will tell where the future of the former WWE media personality is headed after a release from WWE. It looks like she’ll be holding onto these short-term gigs before signing a big deal somewhere. In addition to that, Mitchell recently asked her fans to rally on social media to make WWE sign her once again. It will be captivating to see if WWE makes a response and signs Mitchell back into the company.
