WWE released several personalities this year. One such huge name was McKenzie Mitchell. The media personality was unexpectedly laid off by the company last month. Now, Mitchell is all set to be a part of her first professional wrestling gig after getting a pink slip from WWE.

McKenzie announced on her X that in April she is going to be a part of the WrestleCon event. Mitchell is set to appear from April 4th to April 7th at WrestleCon. It needs to be noted that it is going to be the WrestleMania weekend in WWE. Moreover, it is going to be Mitchell’s first pro wrestling gig after parting ways with the Stamford-based promotion.

Furthermore, McKenzie has been an important part of the NXT broadcast team for a long time. She has hosted pre-shows for the brand, including WWE’s YouTube show called WWE Now. Besides, the WrestleCon event is going to take place in Philadelphia, the same city where WWE is going to hold WrestleMania 40.

I think that once the dust has settled, it's been really, it's a blessing. I think that there's so many new beginnings and I'm excited to see what's to come in the future. The outreach and the support that I've gotten from friends, family, co-workers, colleagues, production staff, executives in WWE, and the fans most importantly, has just been insane.
