Vince McMahon has imfamously fired his employees over the years, and Melina too faced the music in an innocuous way.

Once dubbed the next big thing in women’s wrestling, Melina‘s WWE career came to an anticlimactic end in 2011. Despite what may sound unusual, she knew when Vince McMahon was going to fire her. It’s quite ironic that she hit a bullseye with the prophecy of her own WWE exit. Recently, the 44-year-old wrestler recalled the turn of events that eventually drove her out of the company.

While speaking to Wrestling Shoot Interviews, Melina delved into her time when she used to manage John Morrison. As a result, she routinely traveled with him to the shows. At a SmackDown taping where Morrison was booked, Melina stayed backstage to support The Shaman of Sexy. However, at the gorilla position, she encountered Vince McMahon, and all he said to her was, “You have a good night“. That was enough for Melina to decipher what was coming her way.

Melina’s colleagues made a big deal out of it as McMahon, among others, spoke with the former Divas Champion. However, Melina realized her time was up when McMahon greeted her, signaling the final goodbye. Her intuition proved right.

“I went to go support John [Morrison] because I had to drive him to SmackDown because he was working on. Vince was passing by and he stopped and he turned and he looked at me and he said, “you have a good night.” I was like, “holy f*ck, I’m getting fired,” said Melina.

Vince McMahon is finally losing his say in WWE

Vince McMahon’s decision to amalgamate WWE with UFC under TKO Holdings revealed his ambitious plans. Initially, everyone anticipated the 78-year-old to further bolster his position. However, as TKO’s stock price sharply declined following McMahon’s inclusion on the board, Endeavor took significant action.

As reported by PWInsider, the CEO of Endeavor, Ari Emanuel, has decided to back Triple H as the ultimate force behind WWE creative. Until now, Vince McMahon was notoriously giving his input which resulted in last-minute changes to shows.

Surprisingly, during Bloomberg’s screentime conference, Ari Emanuel publicly admitted the main reason for the slash in TKO’s stock price – Vince McMahon.
