The NCAA Division 1 Football has gained success over the past several years. In that sport, the Michigan Wolverines currently hold the record for most wins in college football history. Recently, Wolverines’ coach Jim Harbaugh explained his friendship with AEW star Ric Flair after the latter visited him.
Ahead of Michigan’s match with Penn State Nittany Lions, Flair claimed to have been Harbaugh’s close friend for more than 30 years. Jim stated to reporters that their friendship began with his fanboying. His time as a Chicago Bears‘ player, along with Brad Muster in 1989, saw him meet The Nature Boy for the first time. Brad took Jim to a wrestling show, where he encountered Flair backstage.
I just remember going out and cheering for Ric. Been to many of his shows and competitions, and he's one of a kind, the best.Jim Harbaugh about his friendship with Ric Flair
Harbaugh mentioned that Ric’s infectious personality made them easy friends. He and Brad quickly grabbed a towel and made it to the hype squad for Ric. The icons share a caring bond, unexpectedly sustained for years. Jim recalled all this as Ric was a guest even to support the Wolverines.
The 16-time world champion has experienced an iconic career of four decades, which he continues. The Son of a Gun is currently on the AEW roster but not on a full-time wrestling contract. Nonetheless, it will be exciting to see what he has to offer in the Jacksonville-based promotion as a legend of the wrestling industry.
