CM Punk made his iconic return after nine long years at the Survivor Series. He created a buzz around WWE as he visited all three shows: Raw, SmackDown, and NXT. Last week, while giving the promo, Punk mentioned his dear friend and former WWE superstar Mickie James in his promo. Now, James revealed what was in that text message she got from him after the show.

James made an appearance on Busted Open Radio, where she talked about how, when she got to know him, he referenced their debut in his promo. She said it felt very nostalgic, as they have a long working history with each other. James further added that Punk texted her and said he mentioned her on Raw.

Punk even texted me after the show going like, 'Hey, PS, I mentioned you tonight,' And I was like, 'Oh, that's cool.' It was pretty nostalgic because that was the arena where we debuted or were supposed to debut. It's crazy, I feel like because Punk and I have come up in the business together in Ring of Honor to TNA with The Gathering and then OVW.

They made their debut in the WWE ring for the first time in 2005, but unfortunately, it didn’t work out. They were sent back to OVW for more training. James has previously worked with the “Second City Saint” in promotions like Ring of Honor and TNA. She even posted a picture of her and Punk in their early days on her X, remembering the old days.

Even though she wasn’t happy with how they were treated after their match, James never gave up on her dreams and finally made her debut in 2005. Her debut was high-profile as she feuded with one of the greatest women’s wrestlers of all time, Trish Stratus. Punk also found success with his Money in the Bank and World Heavyweight Title victories.

A few weeks ago, WWE NXT superstar Fallon Henley commented on X, requesting Mickie James to team up with her and become the Tag Team Champions. Now, James has finally responded to her offer.

It looks like James is ready to be her partner, but only under one condition: She is coming to win. While speaking on the Gabby AF podcast, the veteran said she has been noticing Fallon for quite some time now, and she did notice some similarities between them. James thought it was a cool idea and may even consider returning to the company.

She did say the drinks were on her. And I do love a drink as you’re aware. I’ve been watching Fallon for a while because obviously there’s been some comparisons there and there’s clearly similarities there. And I thought, ‘Oh, this is so cool.’ And I just need her to know, I only come to win. I don’t come to lose. So, I’m down. I’m her Huckleberry. But we’re going to win.

Fallon and James forming a team is possible as James’ husband, Nick Aldis, is now working for WWE. It will be interesting to see whether James returns to WWE at Royal Rumble, as she did last year, and unite with Henley or not.
