Legendary WWE referee is digging LA Knight’s organic rise in the company, reveals own two-cents on his infectious catchphrase

LA Knight gets praised by a long-term former WWE employee (via- WWE)
Another veteran of the pro wrestling industry has put forward words of utmost adulation for LA Knight. And rightfully so, because he’s been throwing it out of the park every week. It appears like the fans seem more invested in the Megastar today than they were yesterday, and the cycle keeps going.
Supporting what fans think of Knight, former WWE referee Mike Chioda too heaped praise on LA Knight. During his Monday Mailbag sessions on YouTube, Mike cited the high tide on which Knight is currently surfing. The former sounded blown away by Knight’s ability to pull the crowd’s reactions at the palm of his hands.
“He’s getting over and he’s getting himself over,” said Mike Chioda. Then, coming to his contagious ‘Yeah!’ catchphrase, Mike said it’s one of the most popular things in WWE. He loved the fact that, without any push from the management, LA Knight has been growing in popularity every second.
Of course, he was never shoved down anyone’s throat at any point in his career. Knight made people chant his name on the shows even when he wasn’t on them. Moreover, his merchandise has constantly been a top seller over the past month. At present, his T-shirts occupy 4 of the Top 5 best-selling spots on WWE’s official shop.
That in particular speaks volumes about how much fans adore the former Eli Drake. A footage of fans leaving after this week’s Raw in Tampa saw them chanting LA Knight’s name at the top of their lungs. That’s called being old-school, which hasn’t been done in years.

Grayson Waller wants to give a rub to LA Knight
Another name quickly rising up the ranks on Friday Night SmackDown is Grayson Waller. His recent segments with the likes of John Cena and Edge have impressed the top-tier officials in the company, per WRKD Wrestling. As a result, they’re considering hosting a Grayson Waller Effect segment over the SummerSlam weekend.
While nothing’s set in stone, Waller has issued a new advisory through his Twitter account. A few hours ago, the Aussie Icon kind of mocked the dirt sheets in their own language. He tweeted out that the WWE officials are pitching for LA Knight to work with Grayson Waller. The self-proclaimed megastar needs a ‘Grayson Waller rub’, the Australian added.
He also touched upon the time they worked together on NXT. In the end, Grayson did not forget to add a credible source to corroborate his statements. That being said, he credited Superdrunkmark69 which was a sarcastic shot. Well, if that’s the indication of WWE’s future plans involving both of these superstars, the fans are going to love their undeniable chemistry. At least, they could have a segment at SummerSlam, next month.
