Friday was shocking in the world of professional wrestling as AEW World Tag Team Champion Cash Wheeler got arrested in Florida on assault charges. However, he is set to defend his titles at the biggest wrestling event in London next week against The Young Bucks. Because of the arrest, the match is now in jeopardy, according to the fans. However, AEW Champion MJF came in support of Wheeler and clarified things for fans.
MJF tweeted a long message for the fans, saying that he is often shocked at how fast people jump to conclusions with little knowledge about the matter. He said that he has had his ups and downs with FTR and does not see eye-to-eye with Cash and Dax. However, he confirmed that Cash Wheeler is a good person, and fans should not judge him on the basis of what happened recently.
He also added, “We are all humans, and we all have flaws.” He also acknowledged the mistakes that he had made in the past. However, he said that, according to him, Wheeler is a “great dude.” Additionally, Friedman also confirmed that FTR will defend their tag titles at ALL IN against The Young Bucks as planned in front of 80,000 fans in London.
Fans will have to wait for more details about the matter, but one thing that is clear is that the case will not affect the match card in the next week. AEW is set to create history as they have sold over 80,000 tickets, making it the largest-ever wrestling event in the history of the sport.
Updates on Cash Wheeler’s arrest and match at ALL In at Wembley
As the news of Cash Wheeler’s arrest broke, fans started speculating about his upcoming match against The Young Bucks at ALL In. However, now it looks like the match will not be affected due to the case, according to the latest reports by PWInsider. It was reported that Cash Wheeler was not asked to give his passport to the authorities.
Thus, it looks like Wheeler does not have any restrictions on traveling during his trial. However, the news came as a surprise, as FTR was one of the friendliest and most popular tag teams in AEW. Therefore, a court case and arrest will affect their popularity to some extent. However, due to clarifications from MJF and AEW, it is clear that the matter is being attended to by proper authorities, and the outcome will be announced soon.
