AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman is known to be very rude and insensitive in real life, similar to his character. Therefore, it is common for him to interrupt people in interviews and at other events. However, this time, MJF goes to a different level, burns a sign on a show, and then walks out of the interview.
MJF was the latest guest on the AEW talk show, “Hey! (EW),” which is hosted by RJ City. As soon as the interview started, the host was prepared to take any insulting comments that Friedman might throw his way. However, to everyone’s surprise, MJF was not in the mood to do anything like that. Instead, Maxwell told City that he wanted his fans to know the real him and would love to have a chat.
Additionally, he also told the host that he loves his work and watches his show sometimes. This threw RJ off-guard, as MJF has never been friendly to anyone on-screen or in interviews. However, as soon as the host started the interview, MJF got up and lit the sign in the back on fire. He walked out of the interview after the sign burned.
MJF won the AEW World Championship at AEW Full Gear from Jon Moxley. He announced later that he would not be defending his title regularly and would wrestle rarely. In the past months, Friedman has defended his title against Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole, Ethan Page, and only a few others.

MJF tries to avoid his upcoming match with Brian Cage and Big Bill
In the ongoing blind Tag Team eliminator tournament, MJF teamed up with his rival Adam Cole. The two defeated Matt Menard and Butcher in the first round of the tournament. Cole and Friedman are scheduled to take on the team of Big Bill and Brian Cage. Friedman recently tried to get out of the match by giving a fake medical reason.
Maxwell tweeted, saying that he was excited for the match but would not be able to wrestle as he is violently ill. He wished luck to his partner, Adam Cole, and asked for prayers for his health. However, Cole saw right through the lies and told Maxwell to be there on Wednesday for AEW Dynamite.
