MJF makes surprising comments on WWE breaking AEW’s ALL IN record with WrestleMania 40 ticket sales in just one day
While AEW All In has been creating new records, WrestleMania 40 has also achieved an incredible record in WWE history.
MJF comments on WWE and AEW setting new records
Current AEW champion MJF is never shy about mentioning WWE on and off the screen. This time, he took to X (Twitter) to comment on WWE and AEW’s successful ticket sales and mentioned that both companies are setting records simultaneously. MJF wrote that both companies are making records left and right, and as a result, the pro wrestling business is winning.
MJF further added that the fans are winning as the record-breaking ticket sales are an embodiment of the blooming period of pro wrestling. WWE broke the company’s all-time gate record by selling 90,000 tickets in one day for the two nights of WrestleMania 40. On the other hand, AEW All In sold more than 80,000 tickets for their upcoming biggest event at Wembley Stadium.
WrestleMania 40 is set to take place at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia on April 6 and 7. The company surpassed all previous records in terms of ticket sales. On the other hand, AEW has been achieving new heights for a one-day event that is set to be the biggest event in the history of AEW. Therefore, MJF just spoke about the success both companies has achieved.
WWE CCO Triple H is said to be MJF’s inspiration for his character in AEW. Friedman has never been reluctant to comment on WWE, as he mentioned Vince McMahon and others on AEW many times. MJF will face Adam Cole for the AEW Championship in the main event at All In.
Adam Cole knew MJF was ‘special’ years ago
Speaking on the Under the Ring podcast, AEW wrestler Adam Cole remembered how he first met MJF several years ago. Cole explained that he knew MJF was special, as the latter exceeded everyone’s expectations. He praised MJF’s ability to talk and move in the ring.
Adam Cole further added that MJF was eager to learn more and more about the business and had really good potential from the very beginning. The duo of MJF and Adam Cole is set to face off against each other at AEW All In on August 27, 2023. The duo was a solid tag team and their bromance has been a key factor in their storyline.
Cole and MJF are also set to face Aussie Open for the ROH Tag Team Titles at AEW All In. Their friendship will be put to the test as, on the same day, they are set to face each other for the AEW World Title.
