A cryptic video aired at Money in the Bank leads fans to speculate of a much awaited return

The Independence Day weekend began with a bang for wrestling fans all over the world as WWE brought Money in the Bank premium live event. The pay per view was introduced in 2010 and was named after the famous Money in the Bank ladder match. The premium live event since its inception has featured Men’s and Women’s MITB ladder matches and also for continuing on going feuds between the wrestlers. This year was no different as the Money in the Bank event featured seven matches including the two ladder matches.

The Money in the Bank pay per view began with the Women’s MITB ladder match featuring Asuka, Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss , Shotzi , Raquel Rodrigeuz and Liv Morgan. A match full of amazing spots and the usual tease of who is going to win the coveted briefcase made for a great start of the event. Liv Morgan emerged victorious after she hit Becky Lynch with a knee knocking her down and capturing the briefcase for herself. Liv Morgan would later go on to win the Smackdown Women’s Championship.

The event continued with Theory defending his US title against the Almighty Lashley which was entertaining affair and saw Lashley beat Theory after the latter tapped out to the Hurt Lock. Bianca Belair then made short work of Carmella after she hit her finisher KOD on the number one contender who after the loss proceeded to beat up the champion. The Usos then conterversially beat the Street Profits to retain the Undisputed Tag Team Championships.

What caught he attention of most of the wrestling fans all around the world was the creepy vignette that was played for everyone to see. The short clip led many speculate for whom the clip was meant to be. Fans and experts from all over the world were speculating the return of the ‘Fiend’ Bray Wyatt and the former Universal Champion instantly started trending on the social media platforms.

The cryptic vignette featured old wrestling boots, an Mexican license plate and what looked like Jeff Hardy’s armbands and an Olympic medal. It was later reported by Fightful select that the vignette was for the return of the Rated R Superstar Edge, the items appearing in the videos were signs of Edge’s old rivals whom he had defeated in the past.

Edge has not been seen in WWE since he was betrayed by fellow Judgement Day members Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley when then sided with Finn Balor. The vignette might just be star to set up match between Edge and Finn Balor at Summerslam. With Money in the Bank in the books WWE is already planting seeds for their next premium live event.
