The shocking news of Mustafa Ali‘s departure from WWE has taken the world by storm. Once known as the Heart of 205 Live, the company released him due to their post-merger talent cuts. This came as a big shock, as he was to face Dominik Mysterio for the NXT North American Championship soon. The wrath of this let-go has been suffered by more than eight stars who were mainly part of the main roster, excluding Mustafa Ali.

Ali announced his release on X after getting to know the news from the company. He wrote, “I am [no] longer working with WWE. I look forward to the future. Thank you, Adeel.” Mustafa’s real name, Adeel Alam, was mentioned by him in the post due to his ring name not being relevant to his career as of now.

Mustafa Ali inadvertently made a mistake in his post, where he mistakenly wrote, “I am longer working with WWE.” However, he quickly rectified the error with a follow-up post just 8 minutes later. He acknowledged the mistake and wrote, “No longer*. Sorry for the confusion“. Despite the correction, the news still sent shockwaves through the WWE Universe. The sudden announcement left fans speculating about the reasons behind Ali’s departure and what his future endeavors might entail. Ali had a big fanbase, particularly in Asia.

Ali was originally a part of the NXT roster and had been receiving a significant push on the yellow brand. His transition to Tuesday Nights occurred a few months ago, where he set his sights on capturing the NXT North American Championship. Nevertheless, with dedicated efforts and impressive performances, Ali’s journey seemed promising, leading to a scheduled title shot against “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio at No Mercy.
