Ali humorously compared his pyro with that of Cody Rhodes while speaking with Kayla Braxton. The internet received Ali’s pyro in a distinct manner, saying it was overhyped and unnecessary. It looks like the former 205 Live superstar enjoyed the reactions he received from the WWE Universe. He will battle Gunther in one of the biggest matches of his career.

Gunther has been the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of the modern era. He had dominated and remained undefeated on the main roster. Mustafa Ali criticized The Ring General’s performance and called him a bully for his lesser title defenses.

While speaking on WWE’s The Bump, Ali said, “You know, I just think he’s been a big bully. I think he’s been protecting the championship. I don’t think he defends it as much as he should.” He, however, praised Gunther for the effort he puts in to bring back the honor of the title.

The 37-year-old further stated this situation will change when he dethrones Gunther at Night of Champions. He continued on saying that he’ll be a defending champion, putting over the title on every show he goes on.
