Superstar Spectacle was a historic event for the WWE Universe in India. After almost six years, the promotion returned to put on a marquee event. Moreover, the nation’s superstars competed against the biggest names in the industry. However, Mustafa Ali did not appear on the show to the fan’s disappointment.

The high flyer is of both Indian and Pakistani origin. Therefore, it was pointed out online that he was the only Indian wrestler on the roster who wasn’t present on Friday night. Ali responded to the post by expressing his regret for not being able to attend the event.

Dragon Lee and Mustafa Ali squared off this past week on NXT. The bout was for the #1 contender spot for the NXT North American title at No Mercy. Dominik Mysterio, the champion, acted as the special guest referee for the match. The Judgment Day member didn’t want to face the masked superstar.

Therefore, he fast-counted to three, giving the win to Ali in the process. However, Dom’s antics did not sit well with the high flyer, as the latter attacked him after the match. Mustafa Ali will prepare himself to claim his first singles title in the WWE at No Mercy.

At the Great American Bash, the 37-year-old failed to capture the same title in a triple-threat match that included Wes Lee. After that, he vowed to beat Dominik Mysterio in a singles match in the future. Now, Mustafa has the chance to create the biggest moment of his career at the next NXT special.
