Theme songs create a long lasting impact on the audiences just by a glimpse of it fans go crazy when a wrestler is about to make his/her entrance. Most of the time WWE chooses a popular song for the wrestler’s theme so that it could create an instant impact.
Now, though it is rare to see a superstar demanding to get his/her own theme song, WWE Superstar Mustafa Ali has demanded Tesher’s urban hit “Jalebi Baby” to be his new theme song. Tesher, who is a Canadian DJ, Producer, Singer and Rapper started his career on YouTube and SoundCloud where he uploaded remixes of popular English songs mixed with classical Bollywood songs.
His remix of Lil Nas X’s Old Town Road and Bollywood number Ramta Jogi blew up on Tik Tok which earned him recognition. He similarly remixed Justin Bieber’s hit track Yummy with another Bollywood item number “Jalebi Bai” which was loved by the fans.
He later released it as a single incorporating his own verses in English and Punjabi. The track became an instant hit in the masses and topped charts on the BBC Asian Network. The track’s remixed version was later released with Jason Derulo as the featured artist which further helped the song to become global.
Now, Mustafa Ali who also has Asian origins and is currently a babyface might need a groovy, peppy and desi number for his entrance and the song goes in perfect sync with the character.
WWE posted on its Facebook page after sharing Mustafa Ali’s tweet that he was constantly trying to get the acclaimed track as his theme song. Here’s what WWE posted-
