This week on Monday Night Raw, WWE featured a battle royal match to select a rightful challenger for Gunther’s Intercontinental Championship. The match had many participants, including some of the most prominent names on the roster. But, Mustafa Ali shocked the world when he surmounted the odds and won the battle royal match at Raw.

The incredible match came down to the final three contestants, who were Ricochet, Mustafa Ali and Bronson Reed. Ali eliminated the two superstars by landing a dropkick on Reed, who was standing on the apron with Ricochet on his shoulders. As a result, he now heads to Night of Champions in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to challenge Gunther for his Intercontinental title.

Gunther had been looking for a worthy challenger for his title since WrestleMania 39. He finally found one this week on Monday Night Raw. Mustafa Ali entered the match as an underdog and emerged victorious, surprising the fans. WWE even embellished the moment with pyros during his victory celebration in the ring.
