Natalya in WWE
WWE Superstar Natalya is known to mentor the female wrestlers in the locker room and has had a fantastic career up until now. Natalya is very consistent in the company and has appeared in most Live events than any other WWE female wrestler. Natalya’s experience and her technical abilities have always helped her to give the bring the best out of her. Natalya is a significant character in the growth of the WWE women’s wrestling division; her battle against Charlotte Flair at the NXT Takeover in 2014 is recognized as one of the finest of her career and a watershed moment in the NXT women’s wrestling division.
Nattie is related to the Hart wrestling dynasty via her mother, Elizabeth, who is the daughter of wrestling icon Stu Hart. Wrestling legends Bret Hart and Owen Hart are Natalya’s uncles and her Father Jim “The Anvil” Niedhart was also a wrestler who wrestled in the WWF through the 80s and the 90s. Jim Niedhart held the Tag Team Championship two times with Bret Hart and has been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a member of the Hart Foundation.
Natalya failed to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship at MITB Live event
On June 3 edition of Smack Down Natalya won the opportunity to face the then SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey at the Money in the Bank Live event. Prior to the event she and Rousey engaged in several confrontations on social media as well as in the ring, with both engaging themselves in brawls against each other.
At the Money in the Bank Live event, Natalya thwarted Ronda’s armbar attempt with a sharpshooter, which the latter countered with an ankle lock. Rousey eventually forced Nattie to surrender in order to keep the championship. After the match Ronda was seen limping and Morgan who had won the Money in the Bank contract that night took advantage of Rousey’s injury and cashed in her MITB contract, thereby defeating Ronda to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
Liv Morgan recently competed against Natalya in a house event in Sacramento, where she hit her special move and pinned Nattie to win the match. Nattie then got back up, pointed at Liv Morgan, and exited the ring. It appeared from the situation that she was angry with the SmackDown Women’s Champion.
Natalya explained on Twitter for what had transpired and said that she expressed gratitude to Liv Morgan rather than being upset.
“I’m breaking character right now, but I actually said THANKYOU. If you must know”.
Natalya cut off Liv Morgan’s promo this week on SmackDown as she was addressing the WWE Universe on SmackDown for the first time following her victory. Nattie said that Morgan had won because she had injured Rousey at the MITB Live event. Rousey then joined the fray and challenged Natalya for a match that night, Nattie was defeated by Rousey. Liv Morgan is slated to defend her Championship against Ronda Rousey at SummerSlam.
