Last night was Jade Cargill‘s first official appearance as a SmackDown Superstar. And she did just enough to secure herself a WrestleMania debut. She arrived at Bianca Belair‘s aid, as the latter was outnumbered by The Damage CTRL despite Naomi‘s defiance. However, Cargill made a beeline to school Dakota Kai, and The Kabuki Warriors. After the show, Nick Aldis was asked about his immediate reaction to what the fans had just witnessed.
The general manager has had enough of Damage CTRL’s perpetual tantrums but was left awestruck by Jade Cargill‘s onslaught. As a result, he announced a 6-woman tag team match for WrestleMania XL. Having said that, the woman who took everyone by storm will join forces with Bianca Belair and Naomi to take on Dakota Kai, Asuka, and Kairi Sane.
Before her exploits during the closing stretch of SmackDown, The Storm received a formal prelude to the WWE Universe from none other than Nick Aldis. The latter asserted that signing the former AEW star was something he viewed as a top-priority acquisition. And then the Florida-based wrestler was made to appear like the biggest deal possible.
Like she did upon her WWE in-ring debut at this year’s Royal Rumble, Cargill retained quite a fair ounce of her AEW battle hymn. As pointed out by some fans on social media, the current version is a remix of the theme that was a part of Cargill’s repertoire under Tony Khan‘s regime.
Nonetheless, in about a week’s time, the 31-year-old is going to have her second match ever since inking a multi-year agreement with WWE. Last year, when asked why she wasn’t fast-tracked on television, Triple H had an amusing reply while aiming a dig at AEW.
Naomi has a message for Jade Cargill after SmackDown
The newfound allies are getting along really well. Following Jade Cargill’s immaculate outing on SmackDown, Naomi, while taking to X, taunted Damage CTRL.
The former SmackDown Women’s Champion playfully asked the Iyo Sky-led faction whether they could weather the storm. The ex-AEW TBS Champion wasted little time to quote a reply to Trinity Fatu‘s post.
Damage Control can you weather the storm!? Hahahhahahahahha #SmackDown
Naomi on X
The camaraderie between the babyfaces is palpable. With Belair and Naomi having a bone to pick with Bayley‘s former faction, the backing of Big Jade would only add to the cause.
The latter bumped into Iyo and her girls a few weeks ago. What was teased back then has now come full circle. The scheduled multi-woman affair at WrestleMania promises to be a good one.
