Kevin Owens was suspended on the November 10 episode of SmackDown by General Manager Nick Aldis. Despite the warning not to get physical, KO went against Aldis, which led to him facing consequences. Following the shocking turn of events, Nick Aldis broke his silence and justified his actions.
Kevin Owens took over commentary duties from Corey Graves last week on SmackDown. However, Nick Aldis had warned him not to get into any physical altercations. On the other hand, Grayson Waller and Austin Theory made sure to exasperate the former Universal Champion. As a result, Kevin Owens attacked both superstars when he reached his boiling point.

Speaking about the situation on WWE’s The Bump, Nick Aldis said that it wasn’t a tough decision for him to make. Aldis said that it was his responsibility to make sure there wasn’t any mayhem. Moreover, he said that he did his duties as a General Manager because it was the right decision. Nick Aldis also added that no one can do anything beyond his word.
I’m the man who facilitated KO coming to the blue brand. I think he’s one of the very top competitors in the WWE. But I have to stick to my word. As a leader and as an executive, my word is everything. In this business, your word is your bond.Nick Aldis on WWE’s The Bump
He explained that it was the right thing to do to be an authority figure. Kevin Owens broke the one rule that Aldis had given him, leaving Aldis with no choice but to take action—the suspension of KO. Aldis stated that his words are his bond, and as a professional, he sees nothing wrong with his actions.
The first thing Nick Aldis did after becoming the General Manager was to get Kevin Owens from Monday Night Raw. This shows that he is a fan of KO. But as the GM of the blue brand, he expects a certain level of authority over everyone. Nick Aldis highlights that KO didn’t follow through with the only rule he needed to abide by, leaving no choice for Aldis but to suspend him.
Kevin Owens’ rumored WrestleMania feud
Kevin Owens is one of the top stars in WWE and is currently a part of SmackDown. He will likely be in a feud with Grayson Waller and Austin Theory for now. WWE has been building up this feud on the episodes of the blue brand, which is conspicuous. Though Nick Aldis suspended him last week, KO will return soon and exact revenge.

With WrestleMania 40 still a few months away, WWE has seemingly started to sketch the blueprint of the matchcard. Kevin Owens is rumored to face Logan Paul at The Showcase of The Immortals next year. WWE has seemingly given a glimpse of it, as both superstars were seen in an ephemeral backstage segment on an episode of SmackDown.
Currently, Logan Paul is the United States Champion and is basking in glory. According to sources, WWE is planning to keep its champion until WrestleMania next year. Therefore, there’s a very good possibility that The Maverick could lock horns with Kevin Owens on The Show of Shows next year.
