“We don’t know if it’s a man or woman”; When Nikki Bella made DEROGATORY comments over Chyna citing her physical appearance

Nikki Bella once disrespected Chyna back in 2013

Nikki Bella had a pretty remarkable wrestling career until it lasted. She’s currently married to Artem Chigvintsev and enjoying her time with family to it’s fullest. For unversed, Nikki has been a topic of various controversies outside of the squared circle. Today we’re going to unveil one of those dissensions in detail.

Back in 2013, the former Divas Champion and her twin sister Brie appeared on E’s! Fashion Police. The Bella Twins were somewhere caught up in a lighter mood and henceforth tried to crack a joke on late great, Chyna, which never ended up being funny, though.

Taking it to Chyna’s physical built, Nikki quoted, “We don’t know if it’s a man or a woman“. She might’ve not meant that for real, however it wasn’t the wisest of things to do. As we know, Chyna, who more widely was termed as “The Ninth Wonder of the World“, played an instrumental role in establishing herself as the most dominant female wrestler ever.

Her existence in wrestling industry can’t be erased and it would be criminal to even think of rubbing it. However, Nikki Bella seemed like pretty much obsessed with Chyna’s male-like build and messed it up during that interview with E!. Nine years later, that clip resurfaced on Twitter and there was a massive backlash towards Bella for disrespecting someone like Chyna, around a decade ago.

Upon realising the childish deed she committed years ago back in 2013, Nikki Bella finally came up with a public apology. On June 28 of last year, she penned that note stating that she’s sincerely sorry about that comment over Chyna. She dreamt if that remark would’ve been possible to be erased from history and deeply urged her fans to learn from her mistake.

In the concluding part of her apologetic note, Bella mentioned how Chyna will always be remembered as an undisputed pioneer of this industry. To add up, the former Divas Champion alps stated that women are getting far more opportunities at present, due to legends like “The Ninth Wonder of the World.”

Taking about the current scenario, Chyna is resting well in heavens as she unfortunately passed away in 2016, due to drug-overdose. She got inducted into WWE Hall of Fame alongside D-Generation X in 2021. Her induction was done posthumously and she was widely featured on LED screens around the MetLife Stadium at Wrestlemania 37.
