WWE NXT is the place where the stars of tomorrow are made. However, that doesn’t mean there is no place for legends there. From being run by The Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels, to the appearance of CM Punk, fans always get surprised by legends appearing on the developmental brand of WWE. With the visit of the Best in the World in focus, several images have flooded the internet of him spending time with young talent.
It looks like a 24-year-old female star has some words for it. Nikkita Lyons is the NXT talent in focus, whose images with the Second City Saint have caught the attention of the wrestling community. Acknowledging the fact, the NXT superstar decided to give her reaction to it. As can be seen in her post, she conveyed her elation with her signature swagger.
I'VE BEEN PUNK'D!! Thank you for your time and knowledge @CMPunkNikkita Lyons in her post on ‘X’
It seems the WWE legend is trying to impart his wisdom to the younger talent he is meeting. It could also mean an effort to redeem his image that has been tarnished because of his controversial departure from AEW. Apart from Lyons, Punk has also been seen with the likes of Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez.
Additionally, fans can spot a knee brace on the knee of Nikkita, which also brings attention to her recent injury. It seems the young star still needs a brace as she recovers to reclaim her spot in the NXT women’s division.
WWE hoping to grab a major deal with the involvement of CM Punk
Ever since he made his earth-shattering return, Chicago’s own CM Punk has been making waves in WWE. It seems the Stamford-based company might need him more than ever.
They would like to get close to $400 million. They're shopping it around and WBD obviously being one of them. They're trying to close that deal. That's pretty much it. Punk opened up what may have been a shut door.Dave Meltzer on the major deal for WWE
As mentioned by Dave Meltzer, WWE is trying to secure a major deal for the Red brand with the inclusion of CM Punk on its roster. Different networks like Amazon Prime, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Disney’s FX are reportedly interested in gaining the Red Brand’s television rights.
The year 2024 could be very big for WWE. The Stamford-based company is even looking to have Punk wrestle before the year ends. The former WWE Champion is scheduled to face Dominik Mysterio at a live event. While the return of CM Punk to WWE is indeed one of the most surprising moments in the history of professional wrestling, time will tell if the broadcasting giants relate to it or not.
