The O.C.- Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows made an unexpected return to RAW on 10 th October aligning with their former partner AJ Styles to help him against The Judgement Day. Many were shocked by this decision as Anderson was still signed with NJPW and is the NEVER Openweight Champion.
Now, the promotion has demanded that if Anderson doesn’t show for its event he would have to rightfully surrender the title back to the promotion. In an official statement NJPW made it clear for Anderson that the Top RAW Superstar will have to return his NEVER Openweight Championship to the promotion if he works at Crown Jewel on November 5.
The statement has been issued after a conflict regarding the clash of events on the same date as NJPW’s Battle Autumn series has been scheduled for the same day as well. In an official statement, the promotion said- “Early morning Japan time on October 20, NEVER Openweight Champion Karl Anderson posted a video on social media indicating that he would not be making his advertised commitment on November 5 in Osaka.“
“NJPW had announced Anderson’s match with Hikuleo for the NEVER Openweight Championship on October 4.”The promotion said that Anderson was well aware of the situation and should’ve known his commitments towards the Championship.
It also alleged that the booking was made through Anderson’s approval and yet both Anderson and Gallows made their way to Monday Night RAW. Gallows and Anderson were then put up in a match with AJ Styles against The Judgement Day for November 5th.

NJPW says it made Several Attempts to Reach Out Karl Anderson for a Response
The promotion also stated that they tried to reach out Anderson for a positive response but no concrete response from the recently returned star has been given to them. Though it’s President Takami Ohbari still expects The Openweight Champion to show up for the event.
It is difficult to say anything at this point as if Anderson doesn’t show up at NJPW’s Battle Autumn Series he would have to vacate the title and return it to the promotion.
Anderson and Gallows had returned to RAW on the 10th October edition after which it was expected that Anderson and Gallows were going to work NJPW and WWE events simultaneously. But, this conflict of interest has already put Anderson’s appearance at Crown Jewel in huge jeopardy.
