CM Punk has been out of in-ring action since sustaining an injury at the 2024 Royal Rumble event.

Popular rapper, Ice Cube‘s son, O’Shea Jackson Jr., is a huge WWE fan. He has made it clear through many posts about the Stamford-based company recently. However, one particular wrestler for whom he has a tremendous liking is The Best in the World, CM Punk.
O’Shea gave a perfect example of how good of a friend he is with a story of the past. He spoke with the Hall of Fame recently and revealed when Punk decided to come to a movie premiere on his request. The actor further added that he opens up very rarely when he’s not around his family and close ones.
The Best in the World suffered an injury at the hands of Drew McIntyre in the Royal Rumble match. Punk tore his right tricep while receiving a Future Shock DDT from The Scottish Warrior. As a result, he will miss WrestleMania for an indefinite time to recover from it. Punk even expressed his frustration over not being able to perform at the Elimination Chamber in front of a sold-out crowd.

Although he is injured, Punk’s being advertised for the April 1 edition of Monday Night Raw. The show will serve as the go-home episode for WrestleMania XL. Many fans speculate that the 46-year-old will be hosting the Show of Shows. It will be interesting to see what CM Punk has in store for the WWE Universe just before WrestleMania.
CM Punk was seen at a non-WWE wrestling event
Although CM Punk is still recovering from his injury, he doesn’t miss a chance to make his presence felt. The best in the World was recently spotted at an independent event in Chicago, Illinois.
With this appearance, Punk has kept himself in the wrestling mix for the time being. According to Fightful Select, the Second City Saint was present backstage at a freelance wrestling show in his hometown. He was also a part of a panel at the WrestleMania 40 press conference.
Punk’s return status is still unclear, as it has been confirmed that he will miss this year’s WrestleMania. There are so many rivalries of Punk fans are excited about with the likes of McIntyre and Seth Rollins. Only time will tell when the 45-year-old returns to WWE.
