“It’s ridiculous”; When Paige responded to deplorable fans

Paige started her career in WWE very young, and we may feel very old if we start remembering her main roster debut in which she emerged victorious against AJ Lee and also won the Divas championship back then. This was 8 years ago and since then Paige has retired from in-ring competition due to an injury she suffered during a house show and since then has launched several non-wrestling businesses including a clothing line venture named after her.

“The Anti-Diva” is a two-time Divas champion and a one-time NXT champion and has been involved in several storylines. She is an active Social Media user and she always keeps her fans updated with the happenings in her life. One such post digs into the past when she uploaded a photo with a sweet caption, lashing out at social media users for body shaming her. In the photo she posted Paige writes:

“When the internet society keeps saying “she got fat” “Paige got big” “Paige is a big girl now” I post another full body selfie. ? I’m just shoving a middle finger up in the air to body shamers. Being in the public eye can be hard when people out there are jealous and just want to make you feel bad about yourself to make them feel better about themselves.”

She also referenced some older comments by the user in which they commented about her being too skinny:

“I was too skinny, now I’m considered too big. It’s ridiculous. But I’m happy. People of all shapes and sizes are beautiful. Be confident. You don’t have to be in the public eye to be cyber bullied. Just being on social media in general can generate the worst hate sometimes. But you know when you have haters. That means you’re doing something right. This is just to show the world we don’t care what they think!”

Paige thanks Vince McMahon

Paige has retired from in-ring competition due to an injury she suffered during a house show and since then has launched several non-wrestling businesses including a clothing line venture named after her.

Paige retired with her successful career at a time when most of the stars are still trying to find the right footing. She was just 21 when she won the Divas championship and by the age of 25, she had to retire. For the success she garnered in her career, she took to twitter last month and thanked Vince McMahon for the opportunity he gave her. The tweet was in response to a YouTube video uploaded by the WWE. The diva wrote:

“It was 8 YEARS yesterday that I won the divas championship ? time flies man. Wow. Thanks to Vince McMahon for giving me that opportunity!”
