Pat McAfee and Happy Corbin’s rivalry began when the latter lost the Last Laugh match against Madcap Moss on the June 17 edition of SmackDown.Corbin accused McAfee of ridiculing him and advised him to be careful of what he says about him. He threatened McAfee further by saying that he would drag him over the announce desk and make him wish he was dead. Pat McAfee seemed unconcerned by Corbin’s warning and took to his microphone to ridicule him, making the WWE Universe laugh at Corbin.
On June 24th Edition, the rivalry further escalated when Pat McAfee challenged “The Former King” for a match at SummerSlam and said that he would love to kick his teeth down his throat at the event. Pat McAfee recently won a match against Theory at WrestleMania 38, The WWE Universe were impressed by his moves, especially the amazing suplex he delivered to Theory in the match.
Pat McAfee’s Summerslam bout challenge accepted by Baron Corbin
Pat McAfee and Michael Cole were on the commentator’s table throughout the Money in the Bank Live Event. They witnessed some amazing and surprising moments such as Theory entering as the eighth participant, Morgan cashing her contract on the same night to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship and Belair defeating Carmella very easily.
The event was about to end and Pat McAfee and Michael Cole had gotten up from their seats,Theory had started clicking selfies with the Briefcase, with Michael Cole suggesting he cash it at summerslam this year.
The curtains were about to fall when Happy Corbin came out of nowhere from the crowd and attacked Pat McAfee, he dragged him into the crowd and began beating him mercilessly. Corbin then threw him back at the ring side and delivered his finishing move “The End of Days” on him. Corbin then went on to say “Hey Pat Challenge accepted” implying that he has accepted his challenge for a match at summerSlam.
This has got the WWE Universe excited now and we will see former Professional footballers and Indianapolis colts teammates in action against each other this year. Pat McAfee was later photographed wearing a neck brace at the UFC 276 event alongside Vince McMahon, Triple H, and Stephanie McAfee.
