McAfee revealed that earlier he was thinking to do both the shows at the same time but when he had a chat with the current creative head of the company Triple H he received the advice that for the betterment of his health his family and his schedule he should go on to host College Gameday which starts on September 10.

Now Triple H has recently reflected on Pat’s absence on SmackDown commentary team as he tweeted- “Pat McAfee approached us about his amazing opportunity with College GameDay,” Triple H said. “We’d never stand in Pat’s way, as he continues to architect his exceptional career. Pat will remain a member of the WWE Universe and we look forward to his return.”
